Westbrook is a masterclass in the artful fusion of timeless elegance and modern sophistication, offering a home that is as much a sanctuary for intimate, fireside moments as it is a dynamic space for hosting family gatherings. The living room was designed around the clients desire for an oversized coffee table that could effortlessly accommodate an array of dinner appetizers and beverages during their social gatherings. In their quieter moments, they envisioned a luxurious armchair with the perfect recline for ultimate comfort. To bring this vision to life, we collaborated with a local artisan to craft a pair of bespoke chairs, resulting in the creation of the Celine chair—a piece that embodies both elegance and relaxed sophistication, tailored to meet their aesthetic and lifestyle.

The nuanced palette of warm neutrals was thoughtfully curated by layering a mix of textiles, including natural linens, exquisitely soft cotton, and densely woven bouclé yarns. The entire collection of furnishings are subtly highlighted by the natural light streaming through the floor-to-ceiling windows.

The reimagined fireplace wall, with its thoughtfully designed niches, is adorned with a Phillip Jeffries grasscloth wallpaper that creates a captivating interplay of depth and detail. All natural bronze picture lights highlight the family’s curated treasures and meaningful accents.

In the kitchen, the existing finishes were largely preserved for now, but the Stephenson House team introduced new architectural lighting and cabinet hardware to smoothly shift the space from modern to a more transitional style. Five understated counter stools provide a seamless view from the kitchen into the tree-filled back garden. The updated breakfast banquette brings soft seating to the kitchen and reflects the home’s inviting spirit, blending practicality with refined design.
