Join us for an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at install day for one of our latest projects, City Proper.
The project name was derived from the glorious location of the home, in one of the city’s most historic neighborhoods of Glenora. The neighborhood is one of North America’s best lasting examples of the traditional garden style residential plans that focus on historical accuracy and natural beauty.
This, combined with the good taste and genteel nature of the homeowners, narrowed our design decisions and overall concept for the home. A traditional and timeless foundation is well balanced with modern lighting, abstract art and patterned accents.
Cultural Details
Inspired by the owners’ Greek and Scottish heritages, we combined materials such as travertine and sand washed stone with bouclé and linens. More literal cultural nods appear in the form of decorative details in plaid textiles and bronze sculptural forms.
Rich With Personality
A traditional home with a smart use of space allowed us to focus on enhancing the existing features of the house. Perfectly detailed crown molding, captivating ceiling medallions, and generous room sizes provided the perfect foundation for newly selected hues in both dreamy neutrals and expertly selected archival colours that added richness and personality to the home.
